Movie theaters across Iran have been set to screen Mehdi Jafari’s feature film '23 People' starting from Wednesday.
As the date for the public screening of '23 People' has been set, the official poster for the movie was also unveiled.
‘23 People’ is a war drama which depicts the true story of a group of Iranian teenage prisoners of war who fell captive to enemy soldiers in the early 1980s during the Iraq-imposed war on Iran.
The film won the Crystal Simorgh award for best film from the national perspective at the 37th edition of the Fajr Film Festival in Iran.
It also grabbed the Golden Butterfly awards for best film and best director at the International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Iran's Isfahan.
'23 People' was also named the film of the year by Iranian National Commission for UNESCO.
